How BirdLife are helping
We are working
- to raise the profile of IBAs by publishing a Story Map online to show the latest set of IBAs in Danger, including stories of sites where BirdLife Partners are actively engaged in activities to remove or mitigate the highest threats
- to support BirdLife Partners in their national campaigns by writing letters to key decision-makers, developers and other key stakeholders; publicizing high-profile cases; mobilizing worldwide expertise for developing advocacy strategies or revising environmental impact assessment reports, and through fundraising
- to advocate for safeguarding IBAs in Danger at the international level, for example at the Ramsar Convention or with international development banks
- to enlist the support of other international conservation organizations and their networks through the KBA Partnership, made up of thirteen of the world’s leading nature conservation organisations including BirdLife
